Because I was feeling a little emotional this week and was worried the requested song would elicit some tears I decided to go fang it around Bundoora Park away from the prying eyes of the regular Melbourne traffic goers who have been giving me some strange looks of late.
I parked at the lovely isolated, completely vacant, Mount Cooper Lookout and took in the scenery as I pulled on the wig and psyched myself up for a moving rendition of Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse Of The Heart, requested by Kat Dawson, certain I wouldn’t be disturbed, when six cars filled to the brim with Parks Victoria employees pulled up either side of me and started walking around looking at sticks and stuff!
So, I headed back into the more populated part of Bundoora Park and tried not to look like an emotional bald guy in a wig driving round and round a park singing songs and videotaping himself.
Anyway, I’m pleased with how it turned out and I really hope you like it Kat.
We’re lucky enough to have the team at MyLight sponsoring FIF. They’ll be giving away a personalised nightlight worth $125 to a FIF fan every month. You just have to put in a song request to enter. And now, Drum Roll… next week we’ll be drawing our first winner for the year! Here’s an example of these awesome lights. Click on Aiden to visit their page.
Just leave your song request in the comments here, on the Reservoir Dad Facebook Page or the comment section under this week’s song. I currently have 36 song request so that gives you a pretty good chance of winning.
My heart and soul goes into the perfromance this week. I had nothing left to give…
