A very interrupted week in terms of training. We headed down to Ocean Grove Thursday and are still here! Beaching, eating, playing, drinking a little bit of beer and wine and chilling out. The boys have loved it. A bit of relax before getting into the school/kinder routine Monday.

Because RM and I are training pretty hard at the moment we bought down a 28kg and 20kg kettlebell to get something small done to avoid several days of nothing.

Apart from that there’s been several interrupted workouts this past fortnight. But I’m happy to be getting the majority of the main lifts in.

Here’s what happened in RD’s Gym this week.

Sunday 7 April

Partial Squats (pin 13) – triples starting at 100kg going up 20kg every set to 200kg. Then 210kg, 220kg x 1, and 230 kg x 1. Pin 13 for me is about parallel so I was happy to move 230 from a dead stop.

Leg Raises to Chin-up Bar – 3 sets

Cheat Curls – 3 x 5 @ 50kg

Hammer Curls – 3 x 10 @ 20kg

Monday 8 April

Bench Press – Warm up sets to 100kg. 5s @ 110, 120, 130, triple @ 140, singles @ 150, 155, 160kg.

Dips (20kg) – 3 x 10 (during the ads of House Husbands)

Pullpus – 40 reps

Tuesday 9 April

Squat – Warm up with several sets to 130kg. 150 x 5, 170×2, 190×2, 3 sets of 2 @ 200kg, then three singles @ 200kg

Wednesday10 April

Overhead Push Press – Bar x 10, 40×10, 50×5, 60×5, 70×3, 80kgx3, 80kgx1. The 10 strict reps with 50kg

Dips (25kg plate) – 3×10

Tick-tocks – 5 reps

Leg Raises to chin-up bar – 3×8

Saturday 13 April

Kettlebell Swings – 28kg 10×10
